Evelyn Mary Rupp, 83, of Stanfield, NC formerly of Montour Falls, NY passed away peacefully with her children and her granddaughter by her side on Friday March 4, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home in Albemarle, NC. Evelyn was born on September 11, 1932 in Elmira, NY to the late Ezra Larrabee and Flotella Wells Larrabee.

Evelyn enjoyed traveling, bingo, reading, and going to dinner and the movies with her sister Betty while living in Florida.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Rupp; sons, Randy and Kevin ; brothers, Francis, Willis, and Kenneth Larabee; sisters, Genevieve West and Betty Robson.

She is survived by sons, Robert, Richard, Ronald, Steve, and Scott; daughters, Diana, Deborah, Roseann, and Roberta Button; stepchildren, Carolyn, Michael, Patricia, and Mary Sue; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Evelyn’s family held a private Celebration of Life for her per her request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC 28001).
