Robert “Bob” Maurice Shoaf, 86, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the W.G. Bill Hefner Salisbury VA Medical Center Hospice House. He was born on April 27, 1933 in Salisbury, NC to the late Varner “Butch” Shoaf and Vallie McCrary Shoaf. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956.

Robert worked as a Mechanic for the North Carolina Transportation Division and was a member of Arbor United Methodist Church in Salisbury. He enjoyed traveling across the country and was active in local chapters of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years Margaret “Margie” Harrison Shoaf; children: Michael (Kaye) and David (Susan); grandchildren: Robby, Jeff (Gwynne), Chris (Pam), Heather, Brittany Rivas, Brianna, Jonathan, Summer, Caleb, Tommy Coble (Jennifer), Tracy Coble (Christin), and Jody Coble (Candis); and great-grandchildren: Chloe, Christopher, Callie, Chandler, and Barrett Shoaf; Ethan, Carmen, Liam, Ava, Morgan, McKenna, and Marlee Coble

The family will greet friends and relatives on Monday, July 29, 2019, 1:30 pm – 2:45 pm at Arbor United Methodist Church (5545 Woodleaf Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147). The Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2019, at Arbor United Methodist Church, conducted by his son, Pastor David Shoaf and music will be provided by grandson, Chris Shoaf.
