Kirk Stuart Richards, 75, of Concord, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 in Concord, NC. He was born March 12, 1944 in Fort Myers, FL to the late Guy and Charlotte Richards.

In his spare time he enjoyed deep sea fishing, fine dining, ANYTHING chocolate or sweet, rebuilding cars and computers, occasionally crying at Hallmark Channel movies and loving his wife, Kathy.

In addition to his parents, Kirk was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Potts, and widowed by, Barbara D. Richards.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kolodge Richards; his sister Jeanette Richards; his children, Stella Wilson and Dan Richards; his step-children, Heather Merchant, Holly Sollender, Katie Sandoval, Ryan Kolodge and Kyle Kolodge; grandchildren, Brooke Vargas, Brenna Wilson, Kyle Merchant, Kevin Merchant and Dylan Merchant; great grandchildren, Jayden Vargas, Sophia Vargas and Addison Vargas.

There will be a memorial service held on Sunday August 18, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Cold Springs United Methodist Church (2550 Cold Springs Rd. Concord, NC. 28025), conducted by Rev. Tony Bell. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 2:45 PM.
