If there’s one thing I know in life, it’s that I’ve walked among giants. Serving with Jake was the proudest and most humbling experience I’ll ever have. He truly is a king among men.
I’ll see you at the gates brother.
My deepest condolences to the family, but please know that Jake made a profoundly positive impact on everyone around him. The world is truly a better place because of him.

I had the pleasure of knowing Jake Shaw. We deployed together in 2008 aboard the USS Iwo Jima with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. He was a class act and one hell of a Marine. I’m sincerely going to miss him and will be praying for his family.
Brenda Evans says
I met Jake years ago @ my work place. A true Marine. The last time I saw Jake was @ one of our local grocery stores. He was kind enough to help me with carrying my groceries to my car. I sincerely thanked him & told him I would see him later. That was the very last time I saw or spoke to him. Pray everything was right in his heart with the Lord.

Wow! We are certainly going to miss this kind hearted man. He worked in our yard planting bushes, trees, and anything else we needed done. He was a great person and we will think of him often as he fixed our cherry tree and we were so thankful for his hard work. Pray that he is enjoying the beautiful creation that was made for us as we pass and he no longer has any worries.
