Terry Albert Fisher, 70, of Statesville, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019 due to complications from myastenia gravis.

He was born August 8, 1949 in Iredell County, NC to the late Albert Fisher and Ruth Waugh Fisher. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School and earned an Associated Degree in Marketing from Mitchell College. He was employed by A&P Grocery Store and Winn-Dixie. Terry was a disabled Army Vietnam Veteran and a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and Vietnam Service Medal.

Terry is survived by his son, Michael Fisher (Lydia); sisters, Wanda Gilleland (Glenn), Carolyn McLelland, and Brenda Foster; brother, Kent Fisher (Bonnie); numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.

There will be a memorial service held at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 2pm, with full military honors. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
