Teresa Scamardo, 62, of Salisbury, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at her residence.

She was born May 12, 1957 in Bixby, OK. She graduated from Bixby High School and later earned two degrees from UNC-Charlotte. Teresa worked as a trainer for Petsmart for over 13 years and in her spare time she enjoyed gardening, gem mining, and reading.

Teresa was preceded in death by her step father, Wayne Walker.

Teresa is survived by her husband of 16 years, Bradley Scamardo; mother, Ellen Walker of Bixby, OK; father, Raymond D. Higgins of Broken Arrow, OK; son, Erik Courtney (Tabitha) of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Kamren Moose (Adam) of Concord, NC; 3 grandchildren, Kyler, Zander, and Wade Courtney; brother, Ike Walker (Roxanne) of Fargo, ND; nephews, Logan Walker, Jenson Walker, and Griffin Walker; and niece, Marinne Walker.

There will be a private family gathering held at a later date, with her final resting place being at her home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105.
