Mrs. Doris Jean Wheeler, 59 of Salisbury, NC passed away September 6, 2011 at the Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Mrs. Wheeler was born November 18, 1951 in Orange Co. NY daughter of the late Clarence Root and Lorraine Lennon Root. She was educated in the Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY, was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her husband: Francis Allen Wheeler, Jr. of New Port Richey, FL. One son Francis Allen Wheeler, III and wife Sandy of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and one daughter, Tammy Lorraine Wheeler Havener and husband Eric of New Port Richey, FL. Two brothers are Robert Root and Nacy Root and wife Pat both of Newburgh, NY. Three sisters are Jennie Mae Scalzo and husband Frank of New Windsor, NY. Linda Lake and husband Ed of Marlboro, NY, and Susan Ulbrich of Middletown, NY. Seven grandchildren are Blake Laydato, Kara Wheeler, A.J. Wheeler, Marra Havener, Stephen Havener, Alexandra Wheeler Havener and Kaden Wheeler Havener.
