Shawn Harlow Remington passed away on Monday June 22nd, 2020 at Novant Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC from complications of alcohol abuse.

Shawn was born in Rumford, ME to Cecilia (Campbell) & Francis E. Remington Sr. on November 6, 1957.

Shawn attended high school at Bonny Eagle High School in Hollis, ME. He drove trucks for years and was an auto mechanic for many years. Shawn and Tracey moved from Erie, CO to the Kannapolis, NC area in 1998, where Shawn worked at several automotive repair shops over the years. Shawn enjoyed racing his own dirt car at East Lincoln Motor speedway in 1999. He enjoyed NASCAR & NHRA racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Francis Jr, Daniel, William and nephew Travis Smith.

Shawn is survived by his wife of 30 years Tracey (Knepper) Remington, sons Derek Hall (Bonnie) of NH, Adam Urban (Kim) of WI, Sam Remington of OR & Tristan Remington of NC, daughters Cassie (Knepper) Chester (Richie) of NC and Krystal (Holmes) Harris (Austin) of KS; grandchildren Riley, Alexandra, Brianna, Abigail, Chase, Austin Jr and Ellie. Shawn is also survived by a brother Doug (Beverly) Remington of ME, sisters Terri (Remington) Knepper of AZ and Kelli (Remington) Kaufman (Kurt) of CO, sister-in-laws Lena Remington, Diane Remington and Cheryl Remington and many nieces and nephews.

No funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to any of these charities:
