Hugh “Hoss” Tilley 70, of Linwood, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at his residence.

He was born March 11, 1950 to the late Roy Tilley and Ester Matthews Tilley. Hugh worked as a plumber and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, boating, fishing and spending time with his family, extended family and friends. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Lexington.

In addition to his parents, Hugh was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph Tilley and Walter Tilley; and sister, Leola Poindexter.

Hugh is survived by his wife, Robin Suzanne Tilley; daughter, Michelle Mason and son in law, Jason Gainer; granddaughter, Anderson Gainer and grandson, Jenson Gainer; son, Will Tilley and daughter in law, Sandra Tilley; grandsons, Kendal Fowler and Jamison Fowler; extended family daughter, Amber Hoosier and husband, Chris Hoosier; granddaughters, Izabelle, Pressley and Harley Hoosier; daughter, Stacey Hathcock and granddaughter, Allison Williams; brothers, Bill and wife, Mary Jo Tilley; Jerry and wife, Linda Tilley; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service held on October 30th, 2020 at 11:00AM at Central Baptist Church of Lexington, 1347 NC-47, Lexington, NC 27292, with a graveside service following at the Salisbury National Cemetery beginning at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church of Lexington, North Carolina.
