Gary was a very good friend and a great all around man. He was our Sunday school teacher for many years and knew as much about the Bible as anyone I’ve ever been around. He was a man of few words but when he spoke something with meaning was being said. We had long talks about the Bible on our way to Hatteras or Cedar Island. He was the man to taught me how to flounder fish and gigging, he unleashed the beast. Our same group of men went fishing each fall and each year was an adventure, the fun and stories will last a lifetime. I will miss seeing him and talking with him but our loss is Heaven’s gain. Will see you again big fella, thanks for the memories. Susie , Mike , Rodney and Phillip you are in our prayers, we love you all.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I just found out today from my old coworker at Cat that Gary had passed. I worked with Gary at the Hickory store for about 6 years. At first I was intimidated by him. Then we got stuck in the office working together. Gary turned out to be a sweetheart! He will be missed.
