Crystal Brooks, 79 years old, passed away after a long battle with cancer.
“Grief is the price we pay for love.”
She was born to the late Maude and Robert Williams on Feb 01, 1942.
Crystal was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, John Adams. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Joel Brooks.
Crystal is survived by her daughter, Bridget; sons, Kirk and Nathan; Bridget’s husband, Michael Rattler; and Kirk’s wife, Amy Adams. She also survived by 3 grandchildren, Zachary, India and Cyrus Rattler; and 1 great grandchild, Jade Rattler.
Crystal and her husband, John Adams, owned and operated the Humdinger restaurant in Kannapolis from 1969 until 1990. After selling the business Crystal worked at the VA hospital until retiring at age 65.
As an animal lover, Crystal has always had a house full of pets and helped support the Humane Society.

At Crystal’s request there will be no funeral or memorial service. Carolina Cremation is assisting the Brooks family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

I loved your mom. She was always so kind to me. I know you all miss her, but she is free from suffering. It is a difficult road, but good memories will one day make you happy when you think of her.
