Sally Ann Capps Vanhoy, 69, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center from a prolonged illness.
She was born February 2, 1952 in Williamston, South Carolina to the late Joe Capps and Sally Burnett Capps Barwick. Sally graduated from Greenville Technical College and spent most of her career in the medical records office at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She was an accomplished cook and knitter and was happiest surrounded by her family. She was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
Sally is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ricky Wayne Vanhoy; son, Matthew Vanhoy; daughter in law, Sarah Sanders; and sister, Susan Capps.
The family will have a private Celebration of Life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Foundation of America, 1707 L Street NW, Suite 220 Washington, DC 20036.

I am so sorry to learn of Sally’s passing. I worked with her in medical records where we eventually became officemates. She was a supportive friend. We shared many laughs during our time together. She will be missed. I lift prayers for comfort, healing and support to her family.
