Beverly Sue “Susie” Lara, 72, of Woodleaf, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. She was born on January 27, 1949 in Iredell County to the late Carl Chapman Jr and Irene Cooke Chapman. Beverly worked as a Seamstress and she enjoyed cross-stitching, puzzles, and crafts. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family and her dog Evie.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her infant son, Baby Boy Livengood; a great granddaughter Gracie Seagro, her sisters, Donna “Bo” Overcash, and Sharon Chapman; and a son-in-law, Christopher Dunn.
Beverly is survived by her children, David Livengood (Kimmie) of Troutman, Robert Livengood (Stacy) of Salisbury, and Shannan Dunn of Woodleaf; grandchildren Alex (wife Samantha), Andrew, Cory, Jordan, Breanna, Cameron, Travis and Sarah; 3 special grandchildren and 4 special great grandchildren; a special aunt Doris “Duck” Chapman; a sister Rita Jane Chapman of Cleveland, two brothers Gene “Jinks” Chapman of Statesville and Terry (Lisa) Chapman of Statesville, brother in law Taylor Overcash of Statesville, and dear friend Debbie Steele of Salisbury.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends on Saturday August 21, 2021 with family visitation from 3:30-4:00 with a service following visitation at Community Baptist Church of Mocksville, 612 Gladstone Road, conducted by Pastor Mike Burchette.
Flowers and memorials may be sent to Community Baptist Church of Mocksville, NC.
