Robert “Roamer” Houston Corriher Jr., 69, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at in Salisbury, NC.
He was born September 17, 1951 in Salisbury, NC to Robert Corriher Sr. and Maddie Smith Corriher. He graduated from Salisbury High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Robert served in the Vietnam war, where he earned a marksmanship badge, along with a Good Conduct Medal. He was the owner of Kaye’s Food Concession and in his spare time enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by daughter, Tracy Corriher; brother, David Corriher; and sister, Cindy Dennis.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Kaye Corriher; daughter, Angela Corriher (Russ) of Salisbury; step-daughter, Jennifer Mason (Nathaniel) of Brevard; 3 other children; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Susie Myers; brother, Johnny Corriher; and beloved dog, Tippy.
There will be a memorial service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 10am at the Salisbury National Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Humane Society of Rowan County, P.O. Box 295 Salisbury, NC 28145.
