Mary Francis Tyler Lambeth, of Charlotte, was born September 19, 1944 and died unexpectedly on October 9, 2021 at Novant Hospital. Her 77 years were filled with the love of family and friends in North Carolina, Virginia, and anywhere people got to know her. She attended East Carolina University and married her high school sweetheart, James Brantley Lambeth Jr. who preceded her in death. Caring, smart, witty, and known for her, “well dammit,” she lived her life to the fullest and was most happy when spending time with her family and many ‘adopted’ families. Her most valued role in life was that of being ‘Maw Maw’ to her grandchildren.
Mary’s memory will be cherished by her 3 children, Shari, Tyler, and Kevin, and daughters-in-law, Katie, and Tina, and her beloved grandchildren, Taylor, and Brantley. She will also be missed by her brother Rea Tyler, along with a multitude of family and friends.
A service of remembrance and celebration of Mary’s life will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 1pm at Sardis Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The Reverend Katie Harrington will officiate the service. The family will greet visitors at noon and immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Loaves and Fishes, Carolina Raptor Center, or a charity of your choice.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Lambeth family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
