Kenneth Eugene Simmons, 62, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.

He was born October 22, 1958 in Rowan County, NC to Alvin Simmons and Viola Morris Simmons. Kenneth worked as a truck driver and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother Timmy Simmons and wife, Crystal Simmons of 24 years.

Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Carrie Abruzzo (Jim) of China Grove; son, Austin Simmons of Rockwell; daughter, Miranda Javis (Brandon) of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Heaven, Christian and Enoch Javis, Jackson Simmons; one brother and 2 sisters.

A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Gold Hill, 16141 Old Beatty Ford Rd Gold Hill, NC 28071. The family asks that everyone wear a mask to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 and to please reflect on some of your favorite memories of Kenneth to share with the family.
