Jimmy Dean Carter, 49, of Lexington, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021.
He was born January 22, 1972 in Lexington, NC to the late Galen “Smokey” Carter and Laura “Mickey” Leviner. Jimmy previously worked for Atrium Windows and Doors. He was an avid dog lover and loved country music. He enjoyed going to the candy store and getting chocolate, and while there always purchased a country music CD. His favorite restaurant was T’ville diner and he enjoyed eating their shrimp. His favorite song was “Sweet Beulah Land” and requested to listen to it every Sunday morning.
In addition to his father, Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fonzy and Shirley Carter; and maternal grandparents, C.M. and Ouida Laughridge.
Jimmy is survived by his mother; daughters, Amanda and Hailey Carter of Georgia; sister, Shelley (Jeff) Paquin of Churchland; and special friends, Cynthia Doss, Linda “Aunt Peggy” King, Brandy Yontz, Keith Tilley and special brother, Alex West, all of Lexington. He is also survived by many family members who loved him dearly.
There will be a memorial service held at 11am on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Ct. Lexington, NC 27292 with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Ct. Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
