We are deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of our beloved son and brother Conner Ray Wilson on Friday, September 2, 2022.
Conner was born September 18, 1997, to Carl Wilson Jr. and Mardy Hess Wilson in Salisbury, NC. He was a member of the 2016 graduating class of Jesse Carson High School. He cherished his time as a team member of the Carson Cougars football team. Conner was a true outdoorsman and an avid hunter. He loved spending time at the beach fishing from the pier, the surf and especially offshore with his family. In his youth, Conner was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Conner was profoundly loved by his brother Caleb Wilson (Brandy and Kaydence) and sister Carleigh Wilson (Kyle Airheart and the newest love of his life, his baby nephew KJ). He was also adamantly cherished by his surviving grandparents, Charles and Linda Hess, and Jayne and Eddie (deceased) Thompson.
Conner is further survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins; Ray and Evette (deceased) Stiller and their sons David and Chase (Gina and Shannon). Alex and April Freeze and their children Eli, Landry and Davis. Malcolm and Paula Thompson and their children, Gavin, Sierra, Zane and Peyton. Mike and Jackie Hess and their children Christian (Willow), Michael Jr (deceased), Jaclyn and Gabriela (son Archer). Bryant and Carla Broughton and their children Cole and Baily. Jay and Jessica Phillips and their daughters Evie and Ella.
Conner had a profound love for all the friends he met along the way. He will be incredibly missed but his sparkling smile will continue to shine in all our hearts.
Please join us this Saturday, September 10th at 5PM for a “Celebration of Conner’s Life” where joyful memories will be shared by all for our adored son (292 Aviation Drive, China Grove, NC.)

I’m so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately I know exactly how you feel. My heart goes out to each and everyone of you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. The way I got through it and still am is my faith and trust in Jesus. He is a friend who is always there. Just lean on him! Reach out and take his hand. He said he would never leave us nor forsake us if we put our trust in Him. I pray God gives you a peace that passeth all understanding today and in the days ahead.

I met this young man as a YFL football player who played with my son Cameron. I always called him the spark plug because he was the main leader on that team. I enjoyed always being around him because of his positive personality. I am truly saddened by his loss. I know his family well will mourn this terrible loss as well of such a positive young man. May God be with his family and Friends during this time of loss.
