Cora Starnes Mills, 83 of Salisbury, NC, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022 at Northeast Medical Hospital in Concord.

She had owned and operated the Hitching Post in Kannapolis for many years and enjoyed church, sewing, and painting.

Cora was the daughter of the late Jap and Jewel Edwards of Norwood. She is survived by a brother, Gene Edwards (Linda) of Kannapolis, two sisters, Louise Lisenby (Steve) and Kay Lee (Tony) of Norwood. She is also survived by her husband, Cole L. Mills and her three daughters- Donna Starnes Spikes, Cheryl Starnes Henty (Peter), Denise Starnes Melton. Her five grandchildren include Jarrett Tran, Justin Jones (Jamie), Jenna Cranford (David), Allie Lowry (James), Kendra Brown (Cameron). Her great-grandchildren, Drake Jones, Mallory Jones, Atticus Melton, Clyde Lowry, Lexi Glenn, Austin Glenn. She was also survived by a step-daughter, Debbie Mills McGee, step – grandchild, Tim Graham (wife Mandy and Bryson and Madison) Kimberly Graham Eagle and many more step great grand-children.

Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
