I have so many fond memories of spending time with Aunt Faye and Uncle Tommy during holiday visits at Grandad and Grandmother Nesbit’s home in Salisbury. Fun times like when I wrestled with Faye in Grandmother’s living room with Tommy watching / laughing as Grandad Nesbit watched as he puffed his pipe smoking cherry blend tobacco and hoping we didn’t destroy the living room. Ha!
And yes, I remember great times when many of our family members would meet in Lexington, NC for delicious BBQ, hushpuppies and of course Cheerwine!
It is the simple, fun times with family that I will always remember. Aunt Faye, may you rest in peace and heaven for eternity!
