Deanna Gene Thompson Williams, 77, of Salisbury, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at her home.
She was born April 20, 1945 in Salisbury, NC to the late Robert Thompson and Georgianna Davis Thompson. She attended Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and worked as a certified nursing assistant. She was president of the Mothers With Twins group and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Deanna was a member of Franklin Baptist Church in Salisbury. She was known for always wanting to help others and enjoyed caring for her animals, but her greatest joy were her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Deanna was preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Williams.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 59 years, Carl Houston Williams; son, Brian Williams (Kim) of Salisbury; twins, Joel Williams (Leigh-Ann) of Salisbury, and Stacy Williams of Rockwell; grandchildren, Courtney, Sawyer, Tyler, Sydney, Katelyn, Madisen, and Regan; great-grandchildren, Emery, Brayleigh, and Lincoln; siblings, Kent Thompson and Judy Cobb; and beloved pets Ginger, Tater and Dexter.
There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary, 220 Grace Church Rd, Salisbury, NC 28147.
