Gary Clinton Wright, 84, of Salisbury, formerly of Lancaster, CA passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at his home.
Gary was born in Pasadena, CA on April 22, 1938 to the late Clinton Harvey and Lillian Zechner Wright. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Sergeant in the Military Police. Gary worked in the Aerospace and Defense Industry for more than 40 years. Gary started with the Apollo Program with many military and commercial aircraft and classified programs with the famous Lockheed “Skunk Works”.
Gray was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Lyn Andrew Wright in 2013. The following year he moved to Salisbury to live with his son’s family for health reasons.
Gary was a member of the American Legion, BPOE and the Lions Club. He coached youth sports including baseball and Pop Warner football.
Gary is survived by sons, Erik Wright and wife, Yvette of Salisbury; and Robert Wright and wife, Jacqui of Pasadena, CA; stepson, Nicholas Andrew of Palmdale, CA; sister, Betty Holden of Oakgrove, CA; cousin, Rudyne Egan and husband, John of Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren, Ryan Andrew, Nicolet Andrew, Angela Ames, Joseph Wright, Ben Wright, Peter Wright, Courtney Wright, Stan Perez,
Christopher Wright and many great grandchildren.
