Ann Yvonne Elswick Walsh, 87, of Rockwell, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She suffered from many medical conditions, which weakened her body and made it difficult for her to maintain an active lifestyle.
She was born February 4, 1936 in Greenup, KY to the late Hillard and Orilee Riley Elswick. She spent many years as a medical secretary for several prominent medical practices. She was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church in Davidson, NC.
Ann was happily married for 65 years. She is survived by her husband, Robert A Walsh; daughter, Cynthia Sickle; son-in-law, Richard Sickle; three grandchildren, Elise Sickle, Kristen Pfluger(Andrew) and Brandon Sickle (Amber); two great grandchildren, Jacob Sickle and Skylar Pfluger; two sisters, Jenny Culberson and Naomi Wildermuth (William) and their children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She had a soft spot in her heart for her three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was a connoisseur of food frequenting many local restaurants. In recent years she and her husband moved in with their daughter and son-in-law due to declining health.

Ann was a beautiful soul and a faithful, joyful friend. She always had a smile and her “glass was more than ‘half-full’….it was overflowing!” She was a faithful supporter of all her friends and family, especially her grandkids and her great-grandkids. Ann’s many health issues slowed her down a bit, but seldom took away her smile! And Bob, Cindy, and Rich….you have been her solid supporters through the years. She loved you beyond measure, and always gave you her thanks and acknowledgment for the care and support you gave her! We will miss Ann in our circle of earthly friends, but are comforted knowing she is busy “running around heaven”, visiting heaven’s hair stylist every few days, and making so many new heavenly friends!
