Maxine L. Strickland Brady, born January 30, 1947 received her wings on July 19, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mildred Strickland; brother, Edwin; and sister, Debbie.
Maxine leaves behind her children, Elmer Freeman, Jr. and Tina Freeman Lawler; brothers, Edward Jr., William and James; sisters, Esther and Barbara; twin granddaughters, Amber and Heather; grandson Robert “Robbie”; and one great granddaughter, Alaina; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Maxine was always a very loving mother, sister, nana and friend who loved unconditionally.
She will be truly missed down here and welcomed with open arms at the gates of Heaven. She isn’t saying “goodbye”, she’s saying “until we meet again” .

Tina & Junie, sorry for your loss. Your mom always did the best that she knew how. She will be missed. Sorry I couldn’t come down ( health issues). I guess i will join her soon.

Maxine, you will be missed but never forgotten. Thanks for being my big sister. We had some good family times together. know you’re in the arms of Jesus no longer feeling any pain and finally at peace. One day we will be together again.

Dear Junie, Tina and family, I learned earlier today of your precious loved one’s departure… I am deeply sorry to hear of this.
She was indeed a Precious Lady … one that I loved very much. I know she will be missed greatly, but in my heart I agree her wings took her to heaven shore… I love you all unlimited, and pray God’s peace and blessings be with each of you.
