Wayne Morris George Jr., 61, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

He was born January 7, 1962 in Newport, RI to the late Wayne M. George and Sandra Grinstrom. Wayne retired from the Department of Defense and proudly served in the United States Navy.

In addition to his father, Wayne was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Mary P. McLachlan George; mother in law, May Paul Gallacher; sister in law, Clair Gallacher Stewart and his step-son, Scott Vernon Harold Aubin.

Wayne is survived by daughter, Angelina George McMillan (Ralph); grandchildren, Liliana, Maya and Anthony McMillan; mother, Sandra L. Ginstrom; sister, Linda George Lauder (Donnie); step-sister, Shannon George Gilmore (Jason); step-brother, Scott George; nieces and nephews, Kenny DeVoy, Greg DeVoy, Caylin DeVoy and Devin Gilmore; step-daughters, Grace Harold Palafox (Vincent) and Kimberly Harold Oliveira (Renato); and grandchildren, Athenah Callandret, Aliyiah Callandret, Alexus Parental, Benjamin Palafox, Isabella Palafox, Kaitlyn Oliveira, Hannah Oliveira, Isiah Oliveria, Ethan Ezell, and Noah Ezell. Additionally, he is survived by grand-daughters, Alyssa and Kaiyah Harold, their mother, Christy Bryer Cole, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, in-laws, both here in the United States, Scotland, and Brazil.

There will be a memorial service held on November 4th, 2023 at 2 pm at Milford Hills Baptist Church, 1238 E Colonial Dr, Salisbury, NC 28144.
