With profound sadness and loving memories, we announce the passing of Patsy King McPherson, 73, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend on January 30, 2024, in Lexington, North Carolina.
Born on January 12, 1951, in Halifax County, Patsy was the daughter of the late Florence Medlin King and Grady King, Jr. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Barbara King.
Her legacy lives on through her beloved son, John Shane McPherson and his wife, Angela, of Lexington; her grandson, Colby McPherson, also of Lexington; her caring sisters, Jerrie Swing and her husband, Eddie, of Englewood, Florida, and Doris Goodpasture and her husband, Al, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; and her devoted brother, Charles King, of Lexington, NC. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces, Misty Delbridge, Megan Carlson, Morgan Swing, Amber Walker, and Emily King, who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Patsy lived a full life, celebrating adventures with friends and a commitment to family. Her fun loving spirit will be remembered in reflection of her radiant smile and infectious laugh.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 11am at Morrison Grove, 2929 Hedrick Mill Rd, Lexington, NC to honor and remember a life so beautifully lived.
In remembrance of Patsy the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Davidson County.
