John “Johnboy” Franklin Henley, 54, of Salisbury, passed away on February 21st, 2024 unexpectedly following a brief illness.

He was born January 22nd, 1970 to the late Benjamin and JoAnn Henley. John enjoyed fishing and hunting, nicknamed “Catfish John” by his ability to catch the big ones. His favorite past times were fishing on High Rock with his friends, family and wife, the late Reba Jean Henley. His marriage to Reba was unmatched and they were inseparable. The family finds comfort in knowing the two are together again in Heaven.

John was preceded in death by; both parents; his brother, Phil and sister, Kay.

John is survived by his niece, Brandie Melton of the home, and nephew Jarrel Henley of Kannapolis; special son, Josh; and two special daughters, Connie Jo and Nicole.

A celebration of life is planned by the family at a later date.
