Steven Franklin Myers passed away peacefully at home Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Steve was born and raised in Salisbury where he excelled in both academics and athletics. He played baseball for the American Legion and basketball for West Rowan High School. After attaining an undergraduate degree from Catawba College and pursuing a graduate degree from UNC Chapel Hill, Steve made a career as a Master Carpenter in Salisbury, Houston, Texas and finally Winston-Salem where he ultimately retired.
Steve’s passion was for his beloved UNC Tar Heels as he was a life-long fan. He was also passionate about the many cats he loved and cared for over the years.
Steve is survived by his spouse Ginger Myers of Winston-Salem, his daughter Casie Ridenhour and her partner Scotty Puckett both of Salisbury, and his uncle and aunt Bob and Sharon Stamper of Kernersville. He is preceded in death by his father Frank Myers and mother Martha JoAnn Hall, both of Salisbury.
A celebration of life will be scheduled for family and friends.
