Lewis Butterworth, 71, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
He was born July 4, 1953 in Vineland, NewJersey to the late Thomas and Luetta Butterworth.
Pop pop, husband, dad, and uncle Lewie are all the names we would call this funny caring man. Lewis was crazy for the Philadelphia Eagles, The Beatles and Jackson 5. He was a man that would give the shirt off his back for anyone. He would give his time and money, just don’t talk bad about his Eagles.
In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Butterworth, brothers, Thomas, Steve and Percy; sisters, Laurel, Kinley, Charlotte, Burtha and Sue; daughter, Michelle Elwell; and son, David Phillips, Jr.
Lewis is survived by granddaughter, Courtney Marie Phillips; sister, Arlene Beltran; daughters, Kimberly Gittle, Kathleen Edenburn, Kisha Pomper and Connie Looper; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Carolina Cremation is honored to serve the Butterworth family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com
