Layne Warner Coleman passed away Monday, February 10, 2025 at Novant Health Rowan Medical
Center in Salisbury, NC.

She was born in Welch, WV on October 17, 1951 to the late Earl and Hilda Warner. Layne was an LPN and worked several different hospitals and nursing homes and retired after her health started to decline. Layne’s greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Daniel and Jeffery Warner.

Layne is survived by her husband of 53 years James (JR) Coleman, her son James Aaron Coleman and daughter Amy Layne Davis, a special granddaughter she helped raise Kacie Coleman of Winston Salem, NC. And the apple of her eye was her first grandson Ayden and granddaughter Isabella and due this month another grandson. She is also survived by her sister Francine Hall of Hawaii, her sister and brother in law Robert and Mabel Thompson of Princeton, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Layne loved to crochet when she was able. Layne was of the Jevhovah Witness Faith. Her
wishes to be cremated is honored and there will be no services.
