Eric Clawson, 46, formerly of Salisbury, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 29, 2025 in New Hanover County, NC after a decline in his health over the past few years.
Eric was born on September 5, 1978 in Rowan County to the late Tony Clawson and Gloria Way; and in addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Stephanie Clawson.
He was a 1996 graduate of East Rowan High School and throughout his life, he worked a variety of different jobs. But what he enjoyed the most were the years he spent working at his Dad’s service station Bobby’s Mobil. When he wasn’t working he spent his time coaching baseball when his son would play. They also enjoyed going to races together.
Eric was a hard working man who was devoted to his children, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son Tristin Clawson and daughter Shannon McClure of Salisbury; the mother of his children, Hope Berrier of NC; sister, Jessica Clawson of Spencer; 2 nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
