Shayla Nevaeh Janette Farley, 18, of Salisbury, NC, formerly of Harlan, KY, passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2025.

Born on August 7, 2006, in Lexington, KY, Shayla spent most of her life in Harlan, where she was known for her kind spirit, warm smile, and her great love for animals and helping others.

She is survived by her loving mother, Fallon Dunagan, and her husband Vincent of Travelers Rest, SC; her father, Joseph Farley of Richmond, KY; her beloved sister, Emma Morgan; and her cherished brothers, John Michael Morgan and Seth Dunagan; her maternal grandmother Janett Woodard of Middlesboro, KY and her paternal grandmother Vincentina Farley of Harlan, KY; her bee Karen Farley of Harlan, KY; as well as a paternal great, grandmother Victoria Farley also of Harlan, KY. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her deeply and will forever hold her in their hearts.

Family and friends will remember Shayla for her caring nature, her devotion to family, and the bright future that was tragically cut short.

Arrangements will be on July 12, 2025 at Anderson-Laws Jones Funeral Home in Harlan, KY, visitation 2 pm until 4 pm then memorial service immediately afterwards.
