In Loving Memory of Patrick Ryan Burris
July 10, 1989 – June 30, 2025
With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Patrick Ryan Burris, who left this
world on June 30, 2025, just shy of his 36th birthday. Born on July 10, 1989, in Cabarrus
County, North Carolina, Patrick was the cherished only child of Angela “Sissy” Burris, with
whom he shared a bond that was deep, unwavering, and full of love.
Patrick was a man of quiet strength, especially after suffering a traumatic brain injury in 2015.
Though he became a man of few words, his presence spoke volumes. He had a deep love for
life’s simple joys—watching football, especially cheering on his Dallas Cowboys, enjoying days
challenging you on the pool table, and relaxing with his favorite show, Storage Wars. His dog
Molly was never far from his side, and he found peace and happiness in her companionship.
Patrick lived a life of quiet kindness and loyalty. He may not have needed many words, but the
ones he shared were full of care, humor, and truth. Whether it was a familiar laugh during a
game, or a talk on the porch, his presence made others feel at ease. He will be remembered for
his deep love for his mother, his laid-back spirit, and the simple, sincere way he moved through
the world.
Above all, Patrick’s heart belonged to his family. He leaves behind his two beautiful sons,
Brycen and Connor Burris. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Angela “Sissy” Burris; his
loving grandparents, Jerry and Alice Burris of China Grove; his beloved aunt, Kim Martin of
Cleveland; and many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Burris and his late uncle, Tony Burris.
A memorial service to honor Patrick’s life will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 a.m. at
Calvary Fundamental Baptist Church. The church is located at 414 S Upright St. Kannapolis,
NC 28088. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of a man
who, despite hardship, lived with quiet dignity and love.
Patrick’s life may have been too short, but his legacy—of love, resilience, and unwavering
connection to those he cared about—will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.The family
asks that you take a moment to enjoy a quiet evening, hold your loved ones close, or watch an
episode of Storage Wars in his memory.
Rest easy, Patrick. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
