With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Myra Karlene Whitt on September 3, 2025, at the age of 68.
Born on February 26, 1957, Myra lived a life filled with strength, deep love, and devotion. She found happiness in life’s simple treasures — the beauty of flowers, the peacefulness of the mountains, and the joy of baking for those she loved. She had a special place in her heart for the holidays, especially Christmas, when her home radiated warmth, love, and laughter.
Myra was a devoted partner, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her longtime life partner, Henry “Carl” Wallace, and her siblings: Mason Asbury (Cheri) of Portland, OR; Tracy Asbury (Trixie) of Lexington, NC; and Stephanie Robertson (Stephen) of Trinity, NC. She was a proud and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews: Randy Asbury Jr. “Junebug” of Lexington, NC; Timothy Asbury (Crystal) of Lexington, NC; Brittany Abshari (Adam) of Thomasville, NC; Cierra Callahan (Justin) of Trinity, NC; and Thomas Robertson of Trinity, NC. She also leaves behind her cherished great-nieces and nephews: Ethan, Colton, Annora, Emma, and Sadie, who brought her endless pride and joy; she also leaves behind life long friends, Kelly, Donna, Debbie, Buzz, Sandy, Ricky Moody, Gloria “Ann”, Deanna, and Christie.
Myra was preceded in death by her mother and father, Chloe “Judy” Morris and Mason Asbury, and her stepfather, Arthur “Dave” Morris. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Donald “Duck” Whitt; her fiancé, Stephen Frye; and her siblings, Randy Asbury Sr. and Arishane Asbury.
Myra’s love, loyalty, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and family.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and the many ways she made the world a better place.

Myra was like a sister to me. I have known her for many years she was always there for me when I needed her. Sometimes she would call me late at night just to wake me up 😁 we spent many hours riding up and down main street . I’m going to miss you but I know you are in a better place. We all will see you again one day you might want to send us back 😁 I love you Donna

My sister wasn’t just my sister—she was a mother figure to me. For 42 years, she never missed a single milestone in my life. Her love and guidance shaped who I am, and her presence was a constant comfort. She adored her niece and nephew, and her precious great-niece with all her heart. Her kindness, laughter, and unwavering support will be missed more than words can ever express. I will carry her memory with me always. I will see you again Sissy! Until then I will continue to share your memory. I love you to the sun and moon a million times over.
