1951 – 2025
Patricia “Patty” Paquette, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 4, 2025.
Born in Arizona in 1951 to Donald and Jean Moore, Patty was the youngest of three sisters, preceded in death by Karen Robertson and Donna Wood. Patty grew up splitting her time between Phoenix and her grandparents’ ranch in Cottonwood, Arizona, where she spent many happy summers in the desert with her horse Pat, learning lessons about “ranch life”, and exploring her family’s rich history in the early settlement of the Arizona wilderness.
High school sweethearts from Brophy/Xavier Catholic Schools, Patty married the love of her life, Michael “Mike” Paquette (D), after the two graduated together from Northern Arizona University. They built a family rooted in faith, traditional values, hard work, and love. She is survived by their two children: Clarissa Thomason and her husband Jason, and Christopher Paquette and his wife Kate. Patty’s greatest joy came from being “Wawa” to her seven grandchildren: Cassandra, Jocelyn, Zoey, and Aiden Thomason, and Charlotte, Amelia, and Eleanor Paquette. Each one brought her immense pride, laughter, and countless cherished moments.
A lifelong learner and teacher at heart, Patty dedicated much of her time to teaching and volunteer work, always striving to uplift others and share her warmth and wisdom along with the love of God. She had a special affinity for younger kids and loved teaching the Pre-K class and children’s church.
A gifted musician, Patty’s love of music was woven through every season of her life. She found joy and peace in playing the piano and guitar and singing for church worship and wrote many original songs. She passed that love for music down to her children and grandchildren through piano, guitar, trumpet, drum, and flute lessons while always encouraging their musical passions.
Throughout her adult life, Patty was surrounded by a close circle of friends who were like sisters to her, women who shared in her laughter, faith, and love of family. Their enduring friendship, baked into the fabric of Patty’s familiy and world, was a source of strength and joy that enriched her life beyond measure.
Patty’s strong Christian faith was the foundation of her life; she loved Jesus above all else and lived each day as a reflection of His love and grace. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, boundless kindness, and steadfast devotion to her family, friends, and faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.
We will not be planning funeral services for Patty, as her desire is for those who knew her not to mourn, but to celebrate her homecoming to heaven where we will be reunited with her soon. If you want to honor Patty, donations can be made in her name to Highway to Zion Ministries, where Patty spent much of her time worshiping and praising Jesus with her dear friends. https://www.highwaytozion.

On a beautiful September day in Hawaii 2006, I met Patty. We were there for Clarissa and Jason’s wedding. We became family and shared the first of many special occasions. Over the next years we shared time and made so many precious memories. It was obvious her faith was strong. While I will miss her, I rejoice that she is now at peace with her heavenly father and we will someday meet again. I pray for peace and comfort for those whose hearts are broken.

We met Patty when she first came to the Charlotte area. She was part of a home fellowship group and became very active with Highway to Zion. She was so gifted and blessed us with her many talents. She prayed regularly with us on HTZ prayer line each week until her illness worsened. We loved her, enjoyed her company and passion for Jesus. We know we will see her again. Blessings to the family and may the God of all comfort strengthen you all in the days ahead.
Love and prayers, Jean and Jim Corbin

From the first time I met Patty, I knew she was sold-out to the Lord! She had that spark of His Spirit in her eyes. Throughout the years, she willingly poured out her many spiritual gifts at Highway to Zion Ministries. Her gifts of worship, music, song-writing, and poetry so enriched our lives. She led worship and shared at our women’s conferences, leading us deeper into the heart of Yeshua. Her love for Israel and the revelation of God’s plan for Israel and the relevance of His covenant to those who follow Jesus were important parts of her spiritual life and ministry. She faithfully served on our Intercessory Prayer Team as a watchman on the walls for Israel. Patty’s keen intellect, drenched in the Spirit, always assured stimulating spiritual discussion, which was one of the hallmarks of our friendship and “sisterhood”. I praise Him for her beautiful life! Her passage to Glory exhilarates my spirit as I know she is seated with Him now in the heavenly realms and will return with Him at the restoration of all things! Thank You, Lord, for my beloved and cherished Sister, Patty! Blessings to all of the family and loved ones. Much love in our Yeshua!

I got to know Patty in the last years of her life. She came to my church home group for a few years & we had wonderful times together worshiping Jesus. I look forward to the day when we meet together in heaven where we will hug one another & join the heavenly host before the throne of God.
