Angela “Angie” Michele Coleman, age 61, of Lexington, NC passed away on January 13th, 2026 at NC Baptist Hospital.

Born on November 13, 1964 in Lexington, NC. Angie was the child of Arthur “Buck” Coleman and Phyllis Coleman. She graduated from Central Davidson Sr. High in 1983.

She worked for many years at The BBQ Center in Lexington, NC.

Those who knew Angie will remember her love for her family and friends and spending time at the beach. She was best known for her strength, sense of humor and loyalty.

Angie is survived by her sister Charlotte Coleman Miller of Lexington, NC and brother Brian Coleman of Greensboro, NC. She was the Aunt of Allison Carter, Tad (Tiff) Marlow and Brandy Henderson of Lexington. Nick, Kane, and Ella Coleman of Eagle Springs. Plus Thomas (Linzi), Hannah, TJ, Brianna, Emily, Noah, Brook, Alyssa and Bailey. Best friend Karen and other friends Beth, Stacy and Pat.

Angie always sang the praises of Dr. Stoen and his staff at the Lexington Cancer Center and the family wishes to thank them for the wonderful care Angie received.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Coleman and Phyllis Coleman, and brother Nicky Coleman, sister Gale Marlow and nephew Craig Carter. Brother-in-law Phil Miller.

A celebration of Angie’s life will be held at Journey Church of Lexington (61 Biesecker Rd, Lexington, NC 27295) on February 1, 2026 from 3pm to 6pm.
