Jerry Rogers, 82, of Statesville, NC, passed away on March 6, 2026. Memorial service was held
1:30pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd,
Salisbury, NC.

Jerry served his country in the United States Navy for six years. Abord the USS Renville, he
served as a coxswain that was stationed off Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He married
the love of his life, Fredda, in 1989, with whom he started Rogers Painting, Inc. in 1993. He was
an avid gardener with an incredible vegetable garden. Jerry’s legacy of humor, hard work, and
unwavering love for all will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was the heart of many celebrations and will be dearly missed during future milestones, but he
will be remembered forever by those that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Mildred Rogers, his brother Troy Sanders,
Sister Patricia Henson, Son Scott Rogers, and his Grandsons Stephen Tamez and Ethan Wayne.

Survivors include his wife, Fredda Rogers, daughters Shelley Rogers, Terri Wolter (Randy),
Roxann Rogers, Andrea Deegan-Smith, Renae Clark (Larry), Melanie Deegan (Ryan), Amanda
Rogers, grandchildren Sarah Kryfko (Josh) Sammy Lovette (Chaz), Seth Clark, Ryan Lovette
(Alex), Christopher and Brandon Cortez, Courtney Deegan, Salem Rogers, Aiden Wolter, Stacey
Nesbitt, Anna Rose Rogers, Aiden Cortez, Olivia Wolter, Brooke Nesbitt, Zoey Smith, great
grandchildren, Skylar Tamez, Cheyenna Peters, Maddi Peters, Kholson Peters, Lanie Lyvers,
Brother Buddy Rogers, his favorite niece and nephew Teresea Biko and Charles Henson and two
dogs, Buster and Gracie.
