Vicki Thompson McClamrock, 70, and Randy McClamrock, 71, of China Grove, NC, passed away together on Monday, May 11, 2026, at their home, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and family.
Vicki was born on April 27, 1956, in Salisbury, NC, to the late William and Nancy Wagner Thompson. She grew up in Rowan County, attending North Rowan High School, and later completed her education in Tennessee. Vicki worked for Coca-Cola as a debt collector and retired after a dedicated career. She was known for her kind heart, her joyful spirit, and her active participation in Homestead Baptist Church in Kannapolis.
Randy was born on July 20, 1954, in Mocksville, NC, to the late Gilmer “Buddy” and Mamie “Louise” Ward McClamrock. A graduate of Davie High School and Forsyth Tech, he worked for Duke Energy as a Project Manager and retired with pride. Randy was a devoted outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting, especially alongside his son Matt. He was deeply committed to his faith, serving as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and member of the Security Team at Homestead Baptist Church, where he also supported church missions.
Together, Vicki and Randy were the heart of their family. They cherished their children and grandchildren, finding joy in every moment spent with them. They are survived by their daughter, Jessica Lynn Overcash and husband Jason of Salisbury; son, Matthew Lee McClamrock and wife Dana of Mooresville; granddaughters, Chloe Overcash, Callie Overcash, and Madilyn McClamrock; grandsons, Wyatt McClamrock and Mason McClamrock; Vicki’s siblings, Lee Thompson and wife Donna, Brad Thompson and wife Cindy, and Karen Thompson; Randy’s sister-in-law, Judy McClamrock; and cousins Mike Johnson, Todd Johnson, and David Johnson.
They were preceded in death by Vicki’s parents and Randy’s parents and brother, Clay McClamrock.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Homestead Baptist Church, 105 W 22nd St, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Vicki and Randy are invited to join in honoring their memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Homestead Baptist Church Missions, 105 W 22nd St, Kannapolis, NC 28081, to continue the legacy of service and faith that meant so much to them.
