Brandy Melissa Carter Reynolds, 50, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully Friday, May 22
Brandy was born March 16th, 1976, in Concord, North Carolina, to parents Walter Lee Carter Sr. and Tamra Turnmire Bouknight. Brandy grew up in China Grove and was lovingly raised by her grandparents Robert and Sadie Carter. Both grandparents preceded her in death, but the values they instilled in her remained a guiding force throughout her life. Brandy dedicated her life to raising her children with love, laughter, and a fierce sense of protection. Though she left school before graduating, Brandy poured her energy into her home and family, creating a loving home where her children always felt safe and supported.
She was known for her kind heart, playful sense of humor, and unwavering strength that had carried her through her life. Brandy loved spending time with family and friends, driving fast cars, taking long rides on back roads, listening to music, and dancing with her children. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother, and she took pride in every milestone, every birthday, and every small victory her children achieved. She was also excited to become a grandmother for the first time, eagerly awaiting the arrival of her granddaughter, Iris Darling Deneen.
Brandy’s memory will be cherished by her children, Emily Melissa Deneen and John Walter Reynolds; her father Walter Lee Carter Sr.; her stepmother Susan Wallace Carter her mother Tamara Turnmire Bouknight; her siblings Ryan Carter, Susie Carter Shifflett, Walter Lee Carter Jr.; her many nieces and her nephew, all of whom were blessed by her love.
Brandy was separated from her husband, John Roach Reynolds, with whom she shared many years and two beautiful children.
She will be remembered for her strength, her humor, and the love she gave so freely.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Reynolds family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
