Patricia Owens Anderton, 87, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026.

Born on November 28, 1938, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Patricia lived a life centered on family, love, and simple joys. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene H. Anderton Sr.

Patricia was a devoted mother to her six children: Cynthia Ranallo (Daniel), Jeanne Anderton, Denise Didio (Marty), Beth Gardner (Jeff), Linda Anderton, and Gene H. Anderton Jr. (Kate). Her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in watching it grow through the years.

She was a loving grandmother to Courtney Hildreth, Kyle Ranallo, Ryan Ranallo, Chad Ranallo, Julia Whitley, Mallory Parker, Phillip Didio, Allison Didio, Erica Thomas, Paige Gardner, Colby Alford, Nicholas Alford, and Marissa Benfield. She was also blessed with 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and treasured the memories they created together.

Patricia found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She adored her dogs, Gracie and Jellybean, who were constant companions and brought her great comfort and joy. She loved sitting on her porch watching the birds gather around the feeders, riding through the neighborhood in her golf cart, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.

Patricia will be remembered for her love of family, her caring heart, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the love she gave will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
