Brenda Carol Nance Adams, 82, of Yadkinville, NC passed away June 14, 2026 at Davie Medical
Center following a brief illness.

Family visitation and a casual memorial will be held 2-5 pm July 11 at Deep Creek Friends Meeting, Yadkinville, NC.

Brenda was born March 5, 1944 in Portsmouth, VA to Arvel and Virginia Nance. She moved to Yadkin
County as a toddler and lived her entire life in the Courtney community. She graduated from Courtney
High School, and in her later years organized reunions for all graduates. Brenda worked for Hanes and
Unifi in her younger years. However, she found her true calling in her 50s when she became an assistant preschool teacher at Yadkinville Elementary School. She loved doing crafts, picking blueberries, traveling to the NC Outer Banks, and listening to oldies music.

was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Roger M. Adams, sisters Veronia Draughn and Bertie White, and brothers Albert “Buck” Nance and Delbert “Deb” Nance.

Left to cherish Brenda’s memory are her two children, Shelley and Dugan Adams, brother Gilbert Nance, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Chestnut Foundation or
Hands of Hope Medical Clinic.
