Kenneth Lane Ledbetter, 74, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026 in Concord, NC. Kenneth was born on December 16, 1951 in Union County, North Carolina, to the late Carl and Myrtle Ledbetter.
He worked throughout his life as a brick mason and roofer and in later years enjoyed working in the yard and on vehicles. He was a loving father and papaw. His grandkids were his joy and he loved spending time with them. He left this world but left his testimony of salvation so we know he entered Heaven’s gates.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Simpson, brother, Tony Ledbetter, sister, Dolly Cook and daughter, Jennifer Ledbetter.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Ledbetter, son, Brian Ledbetter, daughter, Alanea Wilson (Joe), daughter Angela Morgan (Dusty), daughter, Tammy Ledbetter, grandchildren, Steven (Megan) Outz, Brandon Outz, Anna, Emma, Thomas and William Ledbetter, Aliyah Kelly, Jayce Corl, Austin and Aubree Wilson, Grant and Kolton Morgan, Great Grandchildren, Sophie, Addalyn, Casen, Harrison and Kyson. Brothers, Ronnie and Dale Ledbetter and sister, Shelby Purser, as well as many neices and nephews.
New Grace Baptist Church at 1160 Warren C Coleman in Concord, NC will be officiating the memorial service handled by Pastor Allen Montgomery at 2pm Friday, August 7, 2026 for family and friends visitation and service will follow at 3.
In addition to flowers, Memorials can be made to New Grace Baptist Church missions.

Ken loved his family. He will truly be missed by many. We considered him as an honorary grandparent to our kids and grandkids! There were many nights and miles driven back and forth taking Angela, Alanea and Brittany to each other’s houses. He treated Brittany as his own and loved her the same. He gave her the name Gootenhammer early on and then when Ellie came she became Gootenhammer #2. Ken had a kind gentle heart and loved those girls endlessly. We are so glad we will see him again one day and know he will be looking down on all with love and pride. For the family, we pray for peace and comfort all the days ahead. We love you all! For you Ken, rest and enjoy heaven until we are able to see you again.
