In loving memory of Anna Trowell Sunrise April 7, 1960 Sunset July 7, 2025 With deep reflection and heartfelt emotion, we remember the life of Anna Trowell-a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, friend, and truly unforgettable spirit. Born on April 7, 1960 in Coney Island hospital, Brooklyn, New York to the Late Lillie Mae Johnson and Charles Trowell. Anna was a light uniquely her own. From the very beginning, Anna lived life on her own terms. She was strong-willed, passionate, and real. She wasn’t perfect and never tried to be but she was true to herself, and that made her extraordinary. At times she loved deeply; at others, she protected her heart. Whether she spoke her mind or chose to be silent, there was always a spark within her-something powerful, something unforgettable.
Anna attended public school 188 on Surf Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn New York. She also attended high school Mark Twain in Coney Island. She was creative and expressive, often drawing to reflect her thoughts and feelings. Her hobbies were simple but meaningful; drawing, laughing, and spending time with family and friends-the people who mattered the most to her. She had a born spirit that didn’t fit into neat boxes, she could be fierce, funny, stubborn, kind, and sometimes unpredictable-yet those who really understood the heart beneath it all. Anna held onto light, even in the dark. Through a word, a look, or a quiet act of kindness, she showed love in her own way- raw, honest, and real. Through her time with us was shorter than we hoped, her impact was lasting. Her story wasn’t flawless, but it was hers- powerful, honest, and unforgettable. Anna Trowell’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her, loved her and carry her memory forward.
