Barry “Wayne” Law, 73, of Richfield, passed away on Monday March 14, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. Wayne was born on October 4, 1942 in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late O.L. “Jack” Law and Hazel Wilson. Mr. Law proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He was of the Methodist faith and he was the owner of his own automotive bodyshop “Prestige Body & Paint Shop”. When Wayne retired from his automotive business, he enjoying driving a truck for Terminal Trucking in Concord until his second retirement. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles, going to the mountains and just being outside. He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren and he enjoyed his two dogs and his cat.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda Sue Sechler Law of Richfield; a daughter, Candy Lowery-Safrit and husband Scott of Mt. Pleasant; two sons, Brian Law and wife Misty of Dallas, NC, and Barry Law of Oakboro, NC; three brothers, Jerry Law, David Law, and Rick Law; one sister, Anne Carpenter; seven grandchildren, Dillon Lowery, Logan Lowery, Elizabeth Law, Bryson Law, Ashton Law, Devin Law, Serena Law; a nephew, Bill Trull of the home; and many other family members.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 3, 2016 2:00 at New Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Richfield, NC (40237 Millingport Rd., Richfield, NC 28137) conducted by pastor, Leslie Wray. The family will receive friends from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
