Ervin James “Jay” Chapman Jr., 58, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, May 29, 2023 at his home.

He was born January 20, 1965 in Salisbury, NC to Ruby Elaine Kenerly Chapman and the late Ervin James Chapman, Sr. Jay worked for RDH Tire & Retreading Co. in Cleveland, NC. When he was younger, Jay was an avid golfer, and enjoyed hunting. He loved old muscle cars and watching NASCAR races and hunting shows.

In addition to his father, Jay was preceded in death by his sister, Mitzi Elaine Chapman.

In addition to his mother, Jay is survived by his daughter, Jessica Morgan; sons, Dylan Chapman and Spencer Chapman; and granddaughters, Katelynn and Carly Teague all of Salisbury.
