Casey (Leon) Patterson was born in Concord, NC January 21, 1947, to the late Henry Wade Patterson and Mable Bebber Patterson. He passed away peacefully on August 12,2026 with family and friends at his side.
He loved training and showing horses and running his beagles. He loved spending time with all his friends. Leon was a kindhearted person and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He never meets a stranger and loves all his friends who were special to him.
He is a member of Sharon Baptist Concord.NC and excepted Christ in 2011.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephew Gary Rhodes.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca Key Patterson for 43 years, stepson Shane Crisco wife (Melissa) and 3 grandchildren Wesley, Amber and Madison, sister Amanda Strickland and (Jim) along with 3 nephews David Strickland wife (Kelly), Phil Strickland wife (Robin), and Bill Key, and 5 niece’s Diane Argo, Teresa Allman husband (Kilburn) Lori Bradshaw husband (Tommy) Tina Barrett husband (David) and Sherry Rhodes.
He was blessed to have several close friends Connie Harrington wife (Mary), Tommy Mitchell and Vickie Hardin, and Comfort Keepers for Aunna Dixon that was a great support and help with his care(caregiver) who was as close as a grandchild to him. Also blessed to have Brandy Hutchinson to care for him also a short time.
Memorial Service will be held on August 22 nd , 2026, visitation 1:30 and service at 2:00pm at Sharon Baptist Church, 2628 Shady Lane Avenue, Concord, NC.

Me and Buck(Leon)were raised in the same neighborhood.After my daddy died when I was ten,I spent lots of my time at their house.We struggled after Daddy died and Amanda would feed me when I was at their home.Leon got his driver’s license and we doubled dated several times and played ball at our neighborhood ball park.Last time I saw him,he was with a man redoing my septic tank system and it’s still working well after many,many years.Saw Amanda at a neighborhood reunion and asked about Leon and that was several years ago now.We were good friends and I even got to go out to his grandpa’s home out in the country to see his horse out there when we were young.So glad to see where he accepted Christ and that means we’ll meet again some day.
