Charles Vernon “Buddy” Parrish Sr., 61, of Woodleaf, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at home in Woodleaf, NC.

He was born May 20, 1960 in Guilford County to the late Charles E. Parrish and Jean Lewis Parrish. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking.

For a brief period of time Buddy worked with Rowan County EMS. Buddy spent time volunteering with several local volunteer fire departments. He also volunteered with the Coast Guard Auxiliary on High Rock Lake and volunteered with the Rowan County Rescue Squad. Most recently he owned and operated Patriot Lawn Care.

Buddy is survived by his girlfriend Cristal Tounzen of the home; sister, Nancy Milholand (Lester);brother Bill Parrish (Sonya); sister Teresa Coughenour; children Kelly Jordan; Crystal Nottingham (Kenny); Charles “Buddy” Parrish Jr; Christopher Maness; Misty Parrish and Hunter Parrish; 8 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
