Cole L. Mills, 89 of Salisbury, NC, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2024 at Rowan Hospice in Salisbury, NC.

He worked many years and retired from the trucking business, had owned and operated with his late wife (Cora Mills) the Hitching Post in Kannapolis for many years and enjoyed church, yard work and spending time with his family.

Cole was the son of the late Lester Lee and Carrie Mills of Kannapolis. He is survived by a brother, L. J. Mills (Kay Mills) of Kannapolis, and one sister, Brenda Brinson (Johnny) of Rockwell, N.C. He was also survived by a daughter, Debbie Mills McGee; grandchildren, Tim Graham (wife, Mandy and Bryson and Madison); Kimberly Graham Eagle and many more great grand-children. He is also survived by his three step-daughters- Donna Starnes Spikes, Cheryl Starnes Henty (Peter), Denise Starnes Melton. His five step-grandchildren include Jarrett Tran, Justin Jones (Jamie), Jenna Cranford (David), Allie Lowry (James), Kendra Brown (Cameron). His step-great-grandchildren, Drake Jones, Mallory Jones, Atticus Melton, Clyde Lowry, Lexi Glenn, Austin Glenn.

A private memorial service will be held in honor of Cole and Cora Mills at Sunset Cemetery.
