Dale Richard Brady, of Huntersville, passed away Friday, December 11th at his residence. Dale who was 63, passed away after a short battle with lung cancer.
He was born on July 6th, 1952 in Fairmont, West Virginia. During his life he lived in many places, but finally found his true home here in North Carolina where he resided for the past 29 years.
Dale was a man of many talents and pursued a number of careers in multiple fields including real estate, electrical maintenance, and HVAC. Dale was also an active Harley rider and a member of a local eight ball pool team. He was also an active member in the music community and ran sound equipment for a number of bands over the past 30 years. Family members say he was a great Father, great husband, and a great friend. One of Dale’s favorite activities was spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Valentine of Albany, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sondra Brady and his daughter Lynn Brady of Huntersville; his son James Brady, daughter-in-law Katie Brady, and granddaughter Alaina Brady of Maiden; and his two sisters Stormy and Debbie of Albany.
Dale’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial motorcycle ride will be held in his honor on Saturday, December 19th beginning at In The Wind Bar & Grill in Huntersville (15800 Old Statesville Rd.) and ending at Westside Tavern in Charlotte (3323 Avalon Ave). The ride starts with kickstands up at In The Wind Bar & Grill at 12:15pm.
