David Mitchell Hilton, Jr., 76, of Salisbury passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Genesis Elder Care. Mr. Hilton was born on January 25, 1938 in Rowan County a son of the late David Mitchell Hilton, Sr. and Amanda Moses Hilton.

David was a graduate of the Rowan County Schools and had served in the US Navy. He was a mechanic having worked with Construction Paving in Norfolk, Superior Paving, Apac Paving and Papco Paving.

He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include, his wife Betty Garrison Hilton who he married on June 30, 1984; sons, Chad Hedrick and wife, Jodi of China Grove; David Lynn Parker of Troutman; daughters, Dawn Leys and husband, Jim of Oak Creek, WI; Lisa Rodriquez and husband, Carlos of Oak Creek, WI; step daughters, Teresa Lawing of Salisbury and Jane Bumgarner and husband, Andy of Cleveland and sister Amanda sawyer of Chesapeake, VA; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
